Titan Invasion makes landfall this summer on PS3, PS4 and Vita!

We’re bringing the PlayStation world TWO invasions for the price of ONE this summer, with Titan Invasion, a collection of two excellent arcade-action games from UK dev, Puppygames.

Another week and another announcement from us at Curve, having announced Stealth Inc: Ultimate Edition and MouseCraft earlier this month, we’re very happy to introduce Titan Invasion as the third game in our month of announcements.

We’re cheating a little bit though, as Titan Invasion is actually two games in one, bringing both ‘Titan Attacks!’ and ‘Revenge of the Titans’ to PlayStation platforms in a single, cross-buy collection. The games, created by UK developer Puppygames, are some of the best examples of the arcade genre on any system.

Titan Attacks! is an arcade shooter reminiscent of games like Space Invaders and Galaga, but with modern features, new strategies, a full online leaderboard system and stylish neo-retro visuals. There’s also a full upgrade system, and over 100 levels playable over 5 unique worlds.

It’s varied  challenging and is already running at a smooth 60 FPS on all PlayStation consoles, making the game really fluid and addictive experience.

We wanted to offer more than just a polished arcade-shooter though, so Titan Invasion also includes another full game – Revenge of the Titans. It’s a sequel to Titan Attacks! in theme, with the titular Titans returning for another go at Earth.

However, this is an entirely different game-play experience, keeping the frantic action of the original but hugely expanding the gameplay with unique mash-up of Real Time Strategy and Tower Defence.

The perfect accompaniment to Titan Attacks!, Revenge greatly expands on the original game, allowing players to build a network of turrets, rocket launchers, laser canons, barricades, shield generates, refineries, reactors and over 20 other buildings to defend against a huge scale assault across 50 levels.

When’s it coming out?

We don’t have an exact release date for Titan Invasion, but we’re hoping for an early summer launch, with the game available and playable on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita at launch.

There’s some more info about the games over at the Puppygames site, and if you have a blog / website / YouTube channel and would like to be added to our press list, get in touch!

Feel free to leave us a comment below – something you can actually do again thanks to our new site – and we’ll try to answer as best we can.

Ah man, this is a great announcement – you guys are doing a sweet job picking PC games I already own and would love to play on my Vita ;)

Inevitable question, but are there any plans to offer the two games separately (as much as I get that the cross-buy is already an amazing deal ;))? They’re quite the different games, and I know that I’m much more interested in one than the other for example.

We don’t have any plans to offer them as separate games – it’s actually being converted to the PlayStation as one title (rather than just bundling stuff up on the store like we did with our earlier Mega bundle). Hopefully for the price we go out at it shouldn’t be an issue :)

That tower defense like part of the game looks very interesting…
Also, is this the game that will have a platinum trophy (as teased in the comments here: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/02/12/cheese-based-puzzler-mousecraft-coming-soon-ps-vita/#comments)?

(Oh, and also congratulations on your new site design! I like the theme you’ve used. You’ve just forgotten one little thing: the Games menu doesn’t work anymore…)

We’re looking into if Titan could have a platinum trophy, although being two games it’s a bit different to normal!

As for the website, thanks! I haven’t forgotten the Games menu, just haven’t quite had the time to re-add them all with fancy new theme formatting, but they should be appearing by Friday!
