We’re bringing the PlayStation world TWO invasions for the price of ONE this summer, with Titan Invasion, a collection of two excellent arcade-action games from UK dev, Puppygames.
Another week and another announcement from us at Curve, having announced Stealth Inc: Ultimate Edition and MouseCraft earlier this month, we’re very happy to introduce Titan Invasion as the third game in our month of announcements.
We’re cheating a little bit though, as Titan Invasion is actually two games in one, bringing both ‘Titan Attacks!’ and ‘Revenge of the Titans’ to PlayStation platforms in a single, cross-buy collection. The games, created by UK developer Puppygames, are some of the best examples of the arcade genre on any system.
Titan Attacks! is an arcade shooter reminiscent of games like Space Invaders and Galaga, but with modern features, new strategies, a full online leaderboard system and stylish neo-retro visuals. There’s also a full upgrade system, and over 100 levels playable over 5 unique worlds.
It’s varied challenging and is already running at a smooth 60 FPS on all PlayStation consoles, making the game really fluid and addictive experience.
We wanted to offer more than just a polished arcade-shooter though, so Titan Invasion also includes another full game – Revenge of the Titans. It’s a sequel to Titan Attacks! in theme, with the titular Titans returning for another go at Earth.
However, this is an entirely different game-play experience, keeping the frantic action of the original but hugely expanding the gameplay with unique mash-up of Real Time Strategy and Tower Defence.
The perfect accompaniment to Titan Attacks!, Revenge greatly expands on the original game, allowing players to build a network of turrets, rocket launchers, laser canons, barricades, shield generates, refineries, reactors and over 20 other buildings to defend against a huge scale assault across 50 levels.
When’s it coming out?
We don’t have an exact release date for Titan Invasion, but we’re hoping for an early summer launch, with the game available and playable on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita at launch.
